Gustavo Elbaum is from Brazil and he is based in the heart of the business in LATAM, in São Paulo. During his last experience at CWT, from 2010 to 2020, he had LATAM ownership from different perspectives, such as Client Management, Business Development and Implemented new projects, and his final role with CWT was the Meetings and Events Leader for the region. During this period, he expanded his expertise of LATAM nuances and specifities, acting with Global, Regional and Local Countries within the region.
Before that, he worked for MAPFRE, the Spanish Insurance Group, Where he led different businesses related to Micro Insurance, Travel Assistance, and B2B2C partnerships, sucessfully implementing new projects with Banks, Car Manufactors, Brokers, among others.
Gustavo started his business career as an entrepreneur. He joined and owned a small travel business in Brazil, where he had the opportunity to aquire key competencies for the future.
In addition to traditional business studies, Marketing and MBA in Business Management, he graduated in Coach, Team Coach, Systemic Coach, Emotional Intelligence and recently Neuroplasticity at MIT.
Gustavo has created a new product “KPI strategy Meetings and Events, called Return on Investment of Emotions” (ROIE). This is a result of the combination of his experience in the industry and studies of neuroscience.
Gustavo is an active business consultant with a key focus on human and business development, travel, meetings & events. He is passionate about these procurement categories, with a strategic and tactical view combined with LATAM knowledge contributing to GoldSpring in his region.
